Check out this great video. Residents and instructor alike having fun in class!
“I would have to say that the positive impact in having Monica come to our community is more that I could have ever imagined. Our residents love her and I love working with her! I am so impressed with the level of attention that they receive from her and the genuine care she takes with each person. Her willingness to adjust her class to our needs is wonderful. I have noticed the quality of life for each person has changed tremendously. We have a resident who used a walker to go everywhere and just barely got around. After several weeks of exercise classes with Monica, he has improved himself to the point that he is now only uses his cane and will even sometimes use the stairs to reach our dining room.
Our residents (some who sometimes forget things) even remember when Monica is coming and that 'she will be here to give them the workout they need.' They just love her and love being with her.”

"We first met Monica at an independent living where she conducts several exercise classes. We really enjoyed the classes and found them very helpful, especially the work she does on flexibility and balance. As my husband’s Parkinsons symptoms have become worse, we’ve hired Monica as a personal trainer. She is an excellent trainer and is keeping him on an even keel for as long as possible. Having one-on-one instruction is ideal for people who aren’t comfortable with group exercise or anyone who has lost a great deal of strength and mobility due to their illness. The encouragement she offers also give a huge boost to his self-esteem and willingness to work at maintaining strength."
- Sandy C.
"Our residents always look forward to your exercise classes. We are so thankful to be able to continue exercising outdoors!"

"Monica has been my personal trainer for 8 years. I am 76 years old and not motivated to exercise on my own. Having Monica come to my house keeps me on track. She has tailored my training to benefit my specific needs and abilities. During the Covid19 lock down, she was proactive in getting my set up on Zoom so the momentum was not lost. I am very grateful to have Monica in my life."

“Monica’s classes were enthusiastically referred to me by my stepdaughter, who is the Activity Director at another retirement community. At first we started with classes every other week, but very soon we had her coming weekly due to the great turnout/participation by our residents. Monica’s class is upbeat and fun due to her encouragement and lively personality. After class, residents are more upbeat and the social interaction is great! We have it in our main lobby. When visitors arrive, they see what an active retirement community is all about. As Activity Director, it is my favorite activity!”

After suffering two major injuries and months of physical therapy, I was overweight and beginning to feel depressed. Luckily, I found Monica. After just one class I was hooked and found a fun way to lose the weight gained from my injuries.
Within a couple of weeks I was seeing the results. Monica’s instruction style and outgoing personality have improved my overall health, helped heal my injuries and lose twenty pounds.
At the beginning of every class she does the warm up and at the end she leads us through a smart cool down stretch. She has taught me the proper posture and techniques and this has improved my balance. Improper techniques and bad balance are the main reason most of us fall and get hurt in the first place.
While teaching her classes, Monica solicits questions and is always ready to give you the answer or find it out for you. She has helped me focus my mind and body. She is constantly changing her routines and adding mind and body challenges to build my strength and confidence. I’m not only feeling better and healthier, I have made many friends in the class.
Monica, Thank You!”
— Richard S.
“As soon as I put out a new sign-up sheet for the week’s classes, a line has already formed as residents want to make sure they are on the list for Monica's classes. Her classes are always full! Monica is so personable and encouraging to all the participants in her classes. They always feel better after leaving class!”

“Monica's expertise and also as an instructor inspire both young and old. My connection and commitment to exercise makes me strong and happy in my golden years."
— Catalina P.
“Monica is a great coach and she shares her boundless energy and effervescent joy with all of her students. I leave her class tired but my body feels great and my soul is inspired. My only regret is that I wish I had known about Monica's classes years ago so that I could've started my new active life sooner
— Trish I.
“Monica encourages us to do as much as we are able to do. I am over 70 and have no experience with any exercise class. I can recommend her class to anyone interested in moving your body. I love the class.”
— Pat B.

"I have known Monica for many years through water aerobics. I asked her to help me with balance issues by being my personal trainer. Monica is very professional and attentive to my needs. She gently encourages me to work through the variety of exercises and in return, my balance has greatly improved!"
— Elizabeth F.
“Monica’s classes are very rewarding and pleasurable. The movements are in accord with the general age of the residents here and give us all a feeling of accomplishment. This certainly adds to our overall good health. Monica is a very thorough instructor and certainly puts her “all” into the class. We are very fortunate to have her with us and we all look forward to her weekly classes.”
— Erane G.
"Exercise can be fun if Monica is your instructor. The water aerobics program she has put together for us seniors has been specialized towards our body tolerance. The results that we see is body firmness, core and arm strength, and balance. The music is a plus that she selects for our routines. It is fast and fun and makes that hourly workout go by fast. She changes our routines so our bodies don’t get used to the movements. We highly recommend Monica. "
— Peggy & John DLT.
"My problem is balance, gait and weakness of the legs. I started personal training with Monica about 9 months ago. She provides special equipment for the exercises to strengthen my legs and balance drills to help improve my balance. A sit & stand exercise has improved from 9 to over 25 repetitions. At the start I was able to balance on each leg for approximately 9-10 seconds. This has improved to 30 seconds on one leg and 10 seconds on the other. Monica has provided me with tremendous help to make goals and create procedures that will give me a better quality of life."
- John P.
“Monica inspires me and I feel so much better after every class. I recommend anyone interested to take her classes.”
— Avril P.

“I really enjoy your exercises helping to recover from the massive right sided stroke I had over a year ago. I had to learn to walk, write anything, swallow, even talk again. Your joy of music and teaching is infectious and my own excitement of participation is propelling me faster than I had dared to dream.
— Howard L., M.D.
"Would you like to make your aging body more flexible? Exercise Monica is working for me!”
— Nettie A.
"The classes have made quite a difference in my mobility and ability to move more easily."
- Barbara W.
“Monica is so enthusiastic and committed to making the class a good workout. She is equally committed to making it a fun experience - she frequently reminds us that ‘we are not performing brain surgery’ and it doesn't matter if we are moving in a different direction as long as we are moving. She also has taught the class things I have been able to use when exercising at my fitness center. She emphasizes techniques for movement to avoid injury and to get the most out of the routine. But, above all, it is so much fun it I often forget I am also getting a great workout!”
